Aspiring leaders run for office

A miting de avance was held at the Saint Theresa's College AVR last February 5. Eight Theresian Communicators’ Organization (TCO) members;  Mary Angeli Bas, Mary Mae Rias, Alexandra Muñoz, Darianne Bartiana, Krisha Socito, Christian Quilo, Romayne Rivera and Patricia Catan run for election to become the next set of TCO officers that will serve next school year.

They presented their platform and proposed activities for the organization for the first semester of the school year 2014-2015. They also explained their duties and responsibilities if elected into office.

An open forum was also done, giving the panel and the students the chance to ask the candidates questions that would help the student voters determine the candidates’ competence and suitability in the position they are running for.

TCO members will be casting their votes on February 20 at the St. Theresa’s College’s Lourdes Reynes-Quisumbing (LRQ) Hall. Election will be done the whole day. An officer is only elected if the total vote count reaches 50% of the population, a re-election will follow unless otherwise.
